After more than a year, I decided to publish these pictures I got from a palestinian source. They are not new. They are not unpublished. They have been published before. But I didn't because I thought they're too extreme. But times have changed. The time has come to publish them.
For all you faint-hearted: be aware. There is some VERY graphic material further down. If you do not want to see these pictures, leave now.
On 16. February 16th, 2011 13:39:22 MEZ I wrote this letter to a friend:
You know, XXXXX, with documents it's much more difficult to check if they are forged, what relevance they have, what their context is etc.
With pictures this is much easier: minutes before I sent you the document, I got hold on following picture by a palestinian source (I sent him the uncensored image of course):
I was totally shocked even though it was _not_ the most horrifying picture I have seen. I don't know the exact context of the picture except that it was taken during the «Cast Lead» massacre in Gaza. And it's also not important for what I want to say.
What makes me think is that if I would send this picture to a journalist it would never be published. Even if I would offer its full context and the source and so on. And even if we would agree that it is not one of the worst pictures (as we do not want to shock anybody all too much because of pure voyeurism or let us being reproached exactly that) it would still not be published.
Maybe we've seen already too many of those pictures and I believe it makes us – or at least me – feel helpless in a certain way. But how far does it have to go before I, before you, before we say: no, sorry, with all due respect, but _this_ is not normal. Alright, I stop here 'cause I don't want to come across too dramatic…

All these thoughts are of a very private nature of course. Maybe I'm a bit too oversensitive, who knows?
Ah and by the way: When asked my palestinian contact said: «sorry to tell but we get/got numb to it. 1st time you see you puke, get sick, in rage, but does not help, life goes on.»
Business as usual. Isn't that rad?

…but for those, that need one or the other additional argument: start watching this video:
Got the tip for the following video (only in German unfortunately) from a friend. After that video I am shocked about the ZDFs (interviewing TV station) lies, suggestive form of unfriendly questions and psycho games they play with Ahmadinejad. Not only Grass speaks truth, also Ahmadinedschad speaks truth. That doesn't mean, that I believe that there are no problems in Iran (something that Ahmadinedschad does not even deny!) or that I would be happy if Iran got hold of a nuclear warhead.
Watch this video and pay close attention to who asks what questions for what reason and how often the interview is cut compared to how often and when and where and why the whole film is cut… Is it possible that the ZDF purposely wants to paint a bad picture of Ahmadinedschad even before the official interview starts? Or vice versa: is it possible, that Ahmadinedschad tries to paint a bad picture of Israel and Europe with false facts and lies and tons of psychological games?

We are
all part of the system. But there are a few people – the metaphorical (and actual?) 1% – that have much more control over the steering wheel of the ship. And it happens to be that those people are not the people with the big picture in mind but the greedy, angry, scared people. Scared of loosing control. Because if you are too greedy and not responsible, there
is reason to be scared.
On the other hand there are still too many people that don't care. That are blind, numb, too poor or believe in idiot compassion or are boomeritis slaves. But a big part of the people lately began to wake up… and those people, those 99%, started to occupy the ship's bridge now.
The first step out of the misery is to take radically responsibility for one's own life and actions. Not closing your eyes anymore but waking up and trying to see the big picture. The second step is to not rest silent anymore but to step forward and look for others that take responsibility. Then you start acting up, occupying the important material and mind spaces. Being the 99%, then you redistribute the power corresponding to how responsible people are and how much one can actually grab the big picture, how much people get done instead of talking and making empty promises and how much people are looking actively for good solutions instead of blocking them and how educated people are instead of if they have accidentally found oil in there territory.
The negative way to describe it has been done already in 1997 in the scene of the motion picture «Cube» where our situation was described pretty exactly out of a negative point of view:
The characters contemplate why they're in the cube and what its purpose is.
